Karma Park Potomac is Closed

By now many of you have heard that I’ve made the difficult decision to close our Park Potomac location.  As much as it pained my heart to do so, in the end we had to do what was right for our business and our customers.

Those of you who know me, know how much I love Karma – it’s my home.  Over the years, I worked very hard to create that same feeling for both our staff and our loyal customers whenever they walked through the doors of our salon in DC.  Back in 2018, when I had the chance to expand that family and build a new salon in Park Potomac, I put my heart and soul into recreating the same magical experience we built in our DC location.  And I would like to think we succeeded in accomplishing that.  Since opening our doors, we’ve had the honor of helping hundreds of our customers show the world the most beautiful version of their selves.  And our desire was to help hundreds more…

Unfortunately, fate had other plans.  Like many other businesses in the country, we were negatively affected by the pandemic.  We held on as long as we could, but it eventually became clear that we needed to close our doors at Park Potomac.  It was not a decision I took lightly, and I will be honest, that it will take me some time to fully process it.  But it was the necessary thing to do in order to keep our business alive and our salon in DC open.

Karma is defined as the sum of a person’s actions in this and previous lives.  When I think of everything that has happened in my life from that lens, I cannot help but feel fortunate for all I have been given.  But I also feel it my responsibility to express through my words and show through my actions the gratitude, thanks, and appreciation I feel for all of you – my loyal customers, my phenomenal staff, my selfless business partner, my friends and family for all the love and support you have given me today and throughout my journey.  You’ve made it all worth it.   Now time for the next chapter – together.  And we’d love to continue serving you at our DC location.

Love you

Erwin Gomez
